DIY Home Information Pack (HIP)

For anyone wanting to compile their own HIP we can offer an EPC service direct to you. Please note the EPC has to be done by a qualified and accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) or Home Inspector (HI), you cannot do this yourself.

We do offer a personalised full HIP service if required.

For Your Safety and Satisfaction

If arranging for an independent Domestic Energy Assessor or Home Inspector to carry out an EPC for you, we would suggest that as a minimum you are satisfied with the following:

1. They are qualified and accredited to produce EPC's.

Check this by a search on www.hcrregister.com.      

2. They hold Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure and have a valid ID.

To be accredited all accreditation bodies insist that their members have a CRB - Basic Disclosure. Should you wish to see this it is readily available on request. The DEA/HI will also have a valid ID issued by their accreditation body.

3. You are happy that they are who they say they are.

An appointment will have been made to visit your property.  

EPC Rating Ltd are fully qualified and accredited to provide EPC’s and have CRB Disclosure.
